Antique O'Keefe & Merritt stove - oven not working after turning gas off and then on again?
I have an antique O'Keefe & Merritt stove, from approx. 1950, model # 420-4 (oven and 4 burners). A plumber was here last week Off antique and had to turn off my gas. We re-lit the pilot lights (2 for the stove-top and one for the oven) and the stovetop burners work fine, but the oven will not come on - when you turn the dial for the oven, you can not hear any gas coming through as you used to. Am I missing a pilot light, or could there be an issue with the safety switch? (I have pressed the safety switch in the oven to no avail.) Any tinkerers out there?
