Within Beşiktaş and near the clubs, there’s the Conrad Hilton, but I would hardly call it a budget option. You might be better off staying in Taksim.

hmmm…go to Asmali Mescid Street where Babylon is located also…there are many cool clubs and bars there like Otto, Pi…Babylon is a concert hall so u may not have much fun if any cool band or something not performing that night…also in Taksim, i go to Pulp which is a rock bar with live performance every nite…its a cool place…also for electronic music i prefer Mini Muzikhol and Dogstarz ( im not sure with the spelling)…well i live in Bebek and probably u know its the most expensive neighborhood in Istanbul so stay away from there :) ) but we got the coolest Starbucks and Gloria Jeans Cafe there ;) anyway…i dont like Ortaköy much as most of the clubs there owned by those kıros by themselves so unless u dont get your beers from a market and sit down and get wasted by the sea u shud definitely stick to Taksim…thats all from me i guess…if u need any help u can even mail me mate ;)

Hi,Yes you’re right, the price average is relatively high in Ortaköy.The House Cafe has sandwiches, as well as main courses, about 25-30 lira (20$).It’s on the shore and the view is really not bad from there. You can also just drop by for a refreshing mint lemonade.Lavanta is another restaurant near the Ortaköy mosque, mediterranean cuisine.Or you just have a kumpir (baked potato with fillings) on the street and drive 15 mins to Arnavutköy and eat fish at the Adem Baba (no beer but delicious fish and salads in a warm atmosphere).www.adembaba.com
