Alright, this is an excerpt of a new story I am currently writing. The text I have posted here is from the prologue. Please tell me what you think and be as harsh as you want, I am not here to receive good criticism since I know I am not a good writer myself, however, I try to improve.And sorry for any errors, English is not my native language ( I edited my work before posting it here, though. If any English native speaker finds any errors, please feel free to point them out - I'm sure there's plenty of them ) ...The old man blinked twice, unable to maintain his excitement, as he looked outside the dull window once again. The soft light of the lamps above his head was blazing down on him, emphasizing on the wrinkles he had, a gift from all those tiring years.His name was Elthan Hidewake. He was a Soul Giver.Unlike his age, a fact that was often considered as defect for someone who needed to be flourishing for the needs of his job, Elthan had never really lost the elegant taste of clothing neither had he lost the ability to be creative and productive, even under those circumstances. Many of his colleagues would not overlook his absolute Luxurious Soft rug thirst for integrity and perfection, but they would also point out at him how curious his habits were, concerning his way of dressing and the progress of his labor.Elthan was a Soul Giver. It was an honored employment, and not for everyone. He really liked to say that it was “ for special ones “, and that was true. He was a man with knowledge and a lot of experience, principles he had gained through all these years and he would never give away for any reason, principles that made him who he was, tenets needed to become one of the most well known professionals in his object.Elthan was now finishing his drink, a deep red liquid called “ Cherrylash “, which had as much alcohol as he needed, and a mild taste of fruit, while looking outside. He was in his personal office, as every usual Friday night, and the front street surrounding the building was always empty that time of the day. However, that certain Friday night was everything but usual. Elthan was expecting to see a very eminent presence, and he almost couldn’t fully control his constraint. It was the first time to have a customer like that, especially someone with such a glorious background, with such an outstanding reputation. The old man thought that, if it was for anyone else, he would have cancelled the appointment and would have stayed at home instead – it was ten times more luxurious and presentable than his meager little office. But the eldest son of Armodeus Afron was considered to be a legend, or stronger than that. Not all of the Soul Givers had the honor to welcome him in their personal apartments, and that itself was enough to fill Elthan’s mind with patience and encouragement.He passed his eyes over the room he was sitting in. His office looked all stuffed, with many pieces of furniture, especially desks and sofas, decorative from his travels and paintings hanging on the wall from a different, almost forgotten century. There were also long rugs on the floor, with silver and gold embroidery, in harmony with a deep red background, as well as war relics behind large glass partitions, all of them making his small place look like a tiny museum. Elthan loved vivid colors, especially red and black. This is why he was usually transferring that remarkable decorating style in every single place he owned, including his beloved office. Even though he almost never undervalued his personal taste, that night he had doubts of being as elegant and quaint as he needed to be for his lord’s eldest offspring.
