Tile is too rigid to use as a mat. Unless it is permanently attached to a solid base, you will never stop the grout from cracking. What you can do is to remove the carpet in front of the door and lay a tile entryway. Use metal transition strips to hold the edge of the carpet down and give you a border for the tile. I have a wood floor in my living room, but there is a ceramic entryway in front of the door. It’s much easier to clean, and in the winter i do use a mat to absorb snow/water. Hope this helps.

Close your eyes and think carefully of what you need from a relationship right now. Don’t picture the ‘perfect’ partner… stay realistic but be honest with yourself. What are you looking for and does this girl have all of your basic relationship qualities. Such as trust; understanding; love… whatevever it is you need. Should a relationship be such hard work? This girl has personal issues she needs to resolve on her own, they’re not your fault. Do you want the task of teaching her this? Is she worth the time and effort? It sounds callous, but you need to either cut and run or put her fully under your wing. Half measures will have you running in circles around her. x

Maybe he was cleaning it. Maybe someone put it there as a joke. Maybe he bought it because it was cheap at a garage sale and didn’t think about what it said until you pointed it out. Why don’t you ask him. You obviously think about him a lot. Maybe he is actually busy, and you resent not having more of his time, that’s why you try to make meaning out of things that are meaningless.

I have one one the outside that doesn’t match ( fun one) for the dirt and one on the inside that does match.Only because my front door is IN my living room. If you have a foyer, then I don’t think it would matter. If the funky one is outside, it will give them something to look at while they wait for you to open the door.

I mean, they’re not the hardest, scratchiest rug you can get, but they’re not soft. They’re good for cleaning your boots on.

I am not muslim either but think this guy is just stupid for doing this…i have issues with people who go out of their way to insult anyones faith…but i think you should just look the other way and pray for this mans soul…that is the best thing to do…their is always someone who want to be a naughty guy.

Fleas can live in rugs and furniture for quite a while in fact they can lie dormant in a cocoon stage for up to 2 years, but when conditions are favourable to hatching they can emerge and attach in just seconds, that’s why people often move in to a home that has been standing empty with their pets and they get fleas in days form previous pets that have been living there, and within two days feeding on a cat can rapidly multiply and can produce up to 50 eggs a day,so there is a chance that those fleas eggs are in that rug,so get the rug treated for fleas too either by using the special sprays or vacuuming them up,what we do is wash rugs in cat flea shampoo to kill any eggs before they get the chance to hatch but if you do be sure it can take a wash in-case it gets ruined,or simply take it to be dry cleaned to put your mind at rest otherwise if the rug has eggs you will be back to Square one.
